GAME 1
JOG Sports pulled off a thrilling 5-3 victory over RBC Lions, fueled by a dominant third period and a hat trick from Leon Mo.
JOG Sports and RBC Lions faced off in a fast-paced matchup at MegaIce that saw momentum swings and a flurry of goals in the final frame. JOG ultimately prevailed 5-3, thanks to a dominant third period and a hat-trick performance.
JOG struck first in the opening period when Leon Mo scored unassisted at 5:30. Just three minutes later, Danny Chiu doubled the lead off a feed from Tracy Wong. RBC responded at 10:00 as Antoine Devolz converted a breakaway pass from Robert Chiu, Devolz goes backhand 5-hole to open his account, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
The second period was scoreless on the scoreboard but not without drama, as RBC took four penalties - including high sticking and delay of game - giving JOG multiple powerplay chances they couldn’t capitalize on, including a well setup 3 way passing play to Chiu for a one timer that was stopped by Arthur Chan and cleared as the rebound slowly rolled towards the goal line. There were also a couple breakaways for Devolz on counterattack which were thwarted by Martin Jim. As part of the big gamble by RBC, we even had a 4 on 1 by JOG only to have it stopped by Chan to keep the game in reach.

RBC clawed back at mid-period when Justin Kuok scored with help from Julian Ma, but Mo completed his hat trick less than two minutes later, assisted by Wong, restoring JOG's two-goal cushion.
